FullArmor Corp. (
www.fullarmor.com), a provider of enterprise policy management solutions, today released Fazam 2000, a group policy solution for Windows 2000. Fazam 2000 builds on Microsoft's native Windows 2000 infrastructure to provide greater manageability and control over Active Directory's Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
Fazam 2000 uses a resultant set of policies (RsoP), restore and backup capabilities, and reporting, searching, and delegation features in order to allow administrators to view and manage group policies more efficiently and comprehensively.
The RsoP, or "effective policy" function allows administrators to determine the group policy and the path that will be assigned to individual users. This reduces Windows 2000 deployment planning and administrative costs by extending Windows 2000 Group Policy management with planning and diagnostic capabilities.
Fazam 2000 provides administrators the ability to do disaster recovery and backup of GPOs. This keeps systems highly available with selective backup and recovery of GPOs. The software also allows administrators to run detailed reports on GPOs in Active Directory. This improves troubleshooting and documentation through formatted reporting on group policy settings throughout the enterprise. Additionally, Fazam 2000 allows administrators to search for GPOs and specific settings within GPOs, and allows for delegation of authority and administration of GPOs to different levels of administrators.
Fazam 2000 is an integrated policy management solution, where Active Directory hierarchy, group policy tool, and security administration of group policies can be accessed through one interface for easier setup, deployment, and administration of Windows 2000 group policies. - Isaac Slepner
