Accenture Scales Microsoft Copilot Deployment Across Global Workforce
Accenture is expanding its use of Microsoft 365 Copilot across a workforce of roughly 743,000 employees, aiming to integrate generative AI into everyday business processes. The deployment focuses on using Copilot to support tasks such as document creation, data analysis and internal communications. The goal is to improve productivity by embedding AI assistance directly into tools employees use daily, including Microsoft 365 applications.
Rolling out the integration in phases since 2023, Accenture has been actively tracking the success of Copilot use within the company, reporting 97 percent of staff completing tasks faster, with 89 percent monthly active Copilot usage based on a group of about 200,000 employees. Copilot's ability to reason over data stored in SharePoint and OneDrive, and its deep integration in Microsoft 365 platforms that Accenture employees already use every day, further prompted the expanded rollout.
Accenture has been working with Microsoft to test and scale enterprise AI adoption, using the rollout as part of its broader strategy to incorporate generative AI into consulting, delivery and internal operations. The company said early use cases include automating routine tasks and improving knowledge sharing across teams. Large-scale AI deployments are becoming a priority for enterprises moving beyond pilot programs. Accenture’s Copilot rollout continues to evolve as new features arrive and teams find new ways to work with the tool.
