Former Microsoft Channel Chief Schuster Joins Nerdio's Board

Microsoft ISV Nerdio announced this week that it was adding former Microsoft channel chief Gavriella Schuster to its board of directors.

With her extensive channel expertise, Schuster -- who led Microsoft's worldwide partner organization for seven years before leaving the company in August 2021 -- will help guide Nerdio's efforts to develop and grow its customer base, as well as expand its operations into Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia, according to Nerdio's announcement Tuesday.

"We are thrilled to welcome Gavriella to our board of directors amid a time of tremendous growth and opportunity for our company," said Nerdio CEO and co-founder Vadim Vladimirskiy in a prepared statement. "Her proven track record of partner-related accomplishments and driving organizational success on a global scale will be advantageous in propelling Nerdio's international growth and adoption by organizations interested in leveraging Microsoft technologies."

Nerdio's offerings are focused on helping managed services providers (MSP) and enterprises leverage Microsoft cloud and virtual desktop technologies, particularly Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365. The company has a global network of MSP partners and manages over 2 million users.

In a video message, Schuster indicated she has "known the team at Nerdio for years" through her work at Microsoft. "Nerdio does an amazing job abstracting the complexity of Microsoft Azure for so many customers and partners," she said. "And when it comes to Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365, there is no other Microsoft ISV building such incredible value on top of these native services like Nerdio is."

Besides Schuster, Nerdio's board includes Vladimirskiy, fellow former Microsoft executive Andy Lees, MK Capital's Bret Maxwell and Zoberman Advisory Group's Harry Zoberman.
