From the business wires this week: a business security suite for Windows Server, a VSAM-to-SQL Server conversion tool and a small-business dual-core server.

Computer Associates (CA) announced the release of its protection suite Microsoft’s Windows Server System for Midsize Businesses. Offered in 10 languages, the CA Business Protection Suite for Midsize Business for Windows includes antivirus, anti-spyware, data backup and restore, and desktop migration technologies. CA will offer the CA Business Protection Suite for Midsize Business for Windows supporting 50 users for $6,995. http://ca.com

Intensity Software announced the availability of SQL for VSAM, a utility that converts mainframe VSAM databases to Microsoft SQL Server. Based on Microsoft ADO.NET, the conversion tool automatically generates a SQL Server database including the necessary tables, views, stored procedures, user-defined functions and triggers. A SQL for VSAM Developer Edition will be included in the Kicks for .NET v.2.0 SDK to be released Sept. 29. http://www.intensitysoftware.com
