Intel Online, EMC Team to Deliver Managed Storage Services

Intel Online Services Inc. today announced it is teaming with EMC Corp. to provide EMC storage solutions to e-businesses using Intel Online Services’ managed hosting environment. As part of the partnership, Intel Online Services has joined the EMC Proven Program at the highest level and is participating in EMC’s xSPerience Provider Program.

According to the agreement, Intel Online Services will use EMC Storage Solutions as part of the managed hosting services that are architected, tested, and validated in Intel Online Services’ research and development facility. These services are then deployed in Intel Online Services’ data centers in the U.S. and Europe. The services will provide optimal performance for e-businesses as they scale from as little as 100 GB to multiple terabytes of storage.

Intel Online Services EMC Proven status certifies its investment in industry practices for information infrastructure and service delivery. This certification includes such areas as automated local content replication for testing and development, non-disruptive query or pre-staging services, and enterprise backup and recovery. Customers of Intel Online Services who use EMC solutions can in turn receive EMC Proven certification.

In addition, Intel Online Services, as a participant in EMC’s xSPerience Provider Program, has access to EMC consulting and other services that can maximize the benefit gained from using EMC solutions. – Isaac Slepner
