St. Bernard Rolls Out SPQuery 4.0 Hotfix Manager

St. Bernard Software Inc. released its SPQuery 4.0 service pack and hotfix management utility. It comes days after the long-awaited distribution of Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 1.

SPQuery is a utility that provides real-time information about which service packs and hotfixes are available, as well as what operating system issues they address. In addition to Windows 2000 and "Live Updates," SPQuery 4.0 includes several new features, such as support for Microsoft's Terminal Server Edition (TSE); the ability to schedule or cancel service pack and hotfix installations; the ability to download and install service packs and hotfixes to multiple machines from a central console; and file distribution capability for self-contained silent-install-based .exe files.
