Sunbelt Adds NSI's DoubleTake to Product Line

Sunbelt Software added NSI Software's Double-Take GeoCluster to its product line. Double-Take GeoCluster eliminates the need for shared hard drives in the Microsoft Cluster Service (MSCS) environment, enabling real-time data replication and disaster recovery protection for MSCS.

MSCS' shared storage means the entire cluster data is susceptible to failure at a single point. Using GeoCluster, the MSCS cluster servers do not need to be physically close to one another. With GeoCluster, each cluster node has its own local disks that contain replicated copies of clustered data, providing data redundancy. Data is synchronized using standard TCP/IP connectivity, allowing nodes to be located almost anywhere. Replication occurs continuously over a shared or private IP LAN, WAN, or SAN connection.
