Ipswitch Announces New Internet FTP Application

Ipswitch Inc. released its new WS_FTP Pro 6.5, the latest version of its FTP software. WS_FTP Pro 6.5 enables users to transfer files more easily over the Internet with its browser integration capability.

WS_FTP Pro 6.5 is integrated directly into the Web browser for easier Internet file transfer. Direct access can be made through a browser link or any FTP URL.

The software also offers scheduling functionality for large downloads. Users will be able to schedule file updates on a regular basis or large downloads for hours of lighter network traffic.

WS_FTP Pro's new connection dialog has simplified the site login process. Users do not have to open multiple dialog boxes to access information such as passwords, firewalls, and local folders. In addition, three new tools, FTP Synch, FTP Script, and FTP Find, formerly offered only as a bonus utility pack, are now part of the main interface in WS_FTP Pro 6.5.
