HP Deploys NT Server Security Solution

Hewlett-Packard Co. introduced HP Praesidium WebEnforcer for NT, a solution for securing Windows NT Web server environments that monitors and enforces security on a continuous basis.

HP WebEnforcer for NT features monitoring and enforcement capabilities that track security settings, trigger alarms when unauthorized changes are detected, and reset configuration settings if they have been changed. Additionally, the solution disables system services and subsystems that may become vulnerabilities, secures DCOM permissions and remote registry access, secures registry settings, assigns appropriate user rights, and secures files, folders, and other vulnerabilities that intruders might exploit. HP WebEnforcer for NT protects Microsoft Windows NT Server, IIS Web Server, Transaction Server, Index Server, Script Host, Data Access Components, and Internet Explorer.
