WRQ Knowledgebase Integrated with Tivoli Manager

WRQ Inc. (www.wrq.com) announced that its WRQ Express 2000 Knowledgebase, which contains Y2K compliance information on nearly 8,000 applications from almost 1,000 PC software manufacturers, has been integrated with the Tivoli Manager for Year 2000.

The integration between the two products enables Tivoli customers to access and pull critical software compliance information stored in the WRQ Express 2000 Knowledgebase into reports provided by the Tivoli Manager for Year 2000.

Sue Hartford, product manager for WRQ, says that as companies run out of time to research for themselves the Year 2000 readiness of their desktop systems, this solution can help. "The combination of the WRQ Express 2000 Knowledgebase and Tivoli Manager for Year 2000 is useful for organizations tackling Y2K problems on PCs," she says.

WRQ originally developed the knowledge base as a module for its Express 2000 Software Manager, a Year 2000 solution that helps IT managers discover Y2K problems, prioritize fixes and control the desktop environment once those fixes have been made. -- Thomas Sullivan
