Compuware Ships EcoScope 4.0

Compuware Corp. announced at Networld + Interop '99, EcoScope 4.0, and confirmed a new version EcoTools will be released at Tech-Ed later this month.

EcoScope 4.0 introduces an application performance scorecard that enables organizations to automatically determine the performance of business applications based on defined service level requirements. The scorecard also introduces a unique "User Impact Number" that quantifies the severity of performance problems. This number enables IT operations to prioritize and focus on applications with the greatest impact on users and the business. The scorecard also includes detailed metrics such as response time, traffic, key servers and users, and correlates this information into one consolidated view.

EcoScope 4.0 includes new enhancements that enable users to determine the root cause of poor application performance, including business transaction response time monitoring, Gigabit Ethernet probes, support for networks in excess of 50,000 nodes, and an interactive viewer that provides instantaneous access to performance information. -- Thomas Sullivan
