Workday joins Microsoft to deliver a Unified AI Agent Enterprise Experience

Workday and Microsoft announced a partnership to unify AI agent management across their platforms. The integration connects Workday’s Agent System of Record with Microsoft Entra Agent ID, enabling enterprises to verify agent identities and assign business context.

Customers building AI agents in Azure AI Foundry or Copilot Studio can now register and manage them centrally in Workday ASOR. The companies stated that their goal is to mitigate risks associated with fragmented governance and ensure the secure deployment of autonomous agents to allow organizations to focus on results.

The move comes from growing concerns about the oversight of AI agents and tracking control. Microsoft’s entry into AI identity management reflects broader industry debates on securing generative AI. This integration allows customers to seamlessly register agents on an open ecosystem, enhance human-agent collaboration, improve security and gain measurable ROI from actionable insights.
