Commvault Partners with BeyondTrust for Stronger Privilege Access Management (PAM)

Commvault has joined forces with BeyondTrust to enhance privileged access security within backup and disaster recovery operations. Their collaboration integrates BeyondTrust Password Safe PAM with the Commvault Cloud cyber resilience platform, enabling centralized credential management. Just-in-time access is supported, temporary credentials can be issued for specific tasks and full audit trails are maintained to help with compliance obligations.

The move responds to growing risks associated with human and non-human identities, such as scripts, applications and automated agents, which form a large and often vulnerable attack surface. By combining backup data protection with robust identity security controls, organizations can more effectively defend against threats related to stolen credentials or unauthorized access. The integration offers centralized credential management, Just-In-Time (JIT) access, stronger audit and compliance capabilities and better cyber resilience via Commvault Cloud. The new product is available globally.
