Microsoft: "In Tune" with Managed Services

It's been mentioned in this blog in previous post on this blog and elsewhere in tech circles that managed services and the cloud are close cousins.

The folks in Redmond believe this to be true as well and said as much in their latest treatise that offers 10 reasons for MSPs to get on the Windows Intune bandwagon.

Windows Intune is a remote management platform for the cloud world mainly for use with Windows PCs and servers that Microsoft mentioned and touted during the recent Xchange Conference.

Borrowing from the playbook of many sell-through MSPs, Microsoft promises to offer a deployment "with minimal overhead, simple billing, and no formal training required, it's easy to get started and maintain."

The practice of achieving "big-tech results with a small-tech investment," is the main appeal of managed services and Microsoft seems to get that. It'll be interesting to see how things unfold.
