Xen in Hyper-V? Um ... Nope

The kids over at the Windows Server Division blog leapt to the ramparts today to refute two reports that Microsoft’s nascent Hyper-V is based on, or contains, Xen code.

Not so, say they here.

Money quote: "Can you imagine GPL code running in the Windows kernal (hypervisor layer)"... now that'd be something. I think Jim Allchin would come out of retirement for that one ;-)"

They helpfully include color charts and graphs, circles and arrows and eight-by-ten glossies. (kidding on the last few anyway).
