Microsoft Spotlights Top Security MSPs and ISVs

With just over a month to go before its Inspire partner mega-conference, Microsoft this week turned the spotlight on partners making big waves in security.

The 2022 Microsoft Security Excellence Awards, which took place on June 5, awarded multiple partner ISVs and MSPs for demonstrating "success across security during the past 12 months," according to Microsoft's announcement.

All winners and finalists were members of the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association (MISA), which comprises security-focused independent software vendors (ISVSs) and managed security services providers (MSSPs).

"Microsoft and MISA members share a commitment to supporting customers in their efforts to be fearless. That means ensuring that they have the comprehensive security necessary to help them grow their enterprise securely to match their vision," according to Microsoft. "When we talk about comprehensive security, we're not referring merely to security coverage, though that's important. We're also talking about best-in-breed protection, built-in intelligence, and simplified management."

Microsoft also awarded individuals from partner companies "who have made a remarkable security contribution to the company or to the larger security community." The winner of the Security Changemaker award was Jason Rader, vice president and chief information security officer at Insight. Jeffrey J. Engle, chair and president of Conquest Cyber, and Meena Rajendran, head of threat hunting at Tiberium, were finalists.
