Microsoft Names Citrix, HP 2005 Partners of the Year

More than 45 companies took laurels in Microsoft's Partner of the Year awards, held this weekend at the company's Worldwide Partner Conference in Minneapolis, Minn.

Microsoft named Citrix Systems ISV Partner of the Year, and Hewlett Packard garnered Global Enterprise Services and Technology Partner of the Year honors.

Winners were also announced in the partner competency categories, with separate awards given for technical innovation and sales and marketing. These winners are:

Winners were also announced for specializations in some of above competencies, as well as in two "Special Initiative" categories: Winning Customer and Customer Experience.

More than 1,800 partners worldwide applied for the awards, Microsoft said. The nominees were announced last week.
