ORLANDO – In his keynote today at TechEd, Microsoft Corp. chairman and chief software architect announced the release of BizTalk Orchestration.
"BizTalk Orchestration lets you visually design and build business processes," Gates says.
David Wascha, the BizTalk product manager at Microsoft, says that the Orchestration tool is built on top of the products that Microsoft acquired when it bought Visio.
With BizTalk Orchestration, customers can build the business process, set up the connections business processes require to accomplish their tasks, and compile the business processes into XML, which, in turn, is the code that is executed at run time by BizTalk Orchestration.
"BizTalk Server Orchestration is the back-end business processes that go on behind the scenes," Wascha says.
Later this week Dell Computer Corp. (www.dell.com) is going to go into production with the first part of its Web operation running on Biztalk, according to Wascha. – Thomas Sullivan
