Tranxition Makes Migration Tool Available

Tranxition Corp. recently announced the general availability of its data migration product, Personality Tranxport Professional (PT Pro).

PT Pro captures and moves computer "personalities" -- including data and configuration information -- from one PC to another. The tool automatically saves and transfers desktop interface and control panel settings, application settings, network connectivity, Internet settings, e-mails, documents and templates. Tranxition says using its tool will reduce migration time from hours to minutes.

In addition to migrating from PC to PC, PT Pro supports the migration of data and settings from older versions of applications to newer ones, such as the switch from Office 97 to Office 2000.

PT Pro supports Windows 2000, and enables migration from Windows 95/98/NT to 2000. In addition, PT Pro supports Lotus Notes, and Internet Explorer 4.0 and 5.0.

The product is currently available and if purchased in large numbers can be obtained for about $30 per PC.
