Agate and DataZONE Partner to Deliver Hot Swappable Storage

Agate Technologies Inc. has announced that it has signed an agreement with DataZONE Corp. to incorporate Agate's intellSWAP Data Access Agent technology into its family of transportable storage devices. Agate's intelliSWAP agent allows intelligent application execution without the need for user intervention upon hot device insertion. As part of the agreement, Agate will market the DataZONE products to its customer base. DataZONE and Agate plan to jointly market the DataBook hard drive, which has been qualified to withstand a shock rating of 10,000 G, a 4 foot drop.
