W3Control Releases Employee Web Use Monitoring Software

W3Control Inc. today announced W3Thermo version 1.7, the latest release of its Internet productivity analysis software. The software allows managers to monitor employee Internet access and implement and enforce Internet access policies accordingly. W3Thermo analyzes logs of firewalls and proxy servers to produce a detailed report on employee Internet productivity and identifies sites visited by specific employees and the sites' level of productivity relative to the job.

W3Thermo contains a database of over 1.2 million URLs, classified in 60 categories. The software identifies the subjects of URL requests in the log files and rates them as productive, unproductive or neutral based on the user's preferences. The software's Internet Productivity Report shows Internet access productivity in hits and kilobytes as well as in hours and dollars. W3Thermo supports log file formats of the leading firewalls and proxy servers. W3Thermo is currently available.
