Microsoft Dynamics Partner Enavate Sharpens Its SMB Chops

Englewood, Colo.-based Enavate, a Gold Microsoft partner with expertise in Dynamics and Dynamics 365, has acquired a 55-person team from consultancy Columbus specializing in cloud ERP solutions for small and midsize businesses (SMBs).

The acquisition was finalized on Monday for an undisclosed amount. The employees from Columbus will join Enavate's roughly 400 current employees, and add 1,400 new clients to Enavate's 2,000 customers across North America and Europe.

The acquired business unit from Columbus is focused on Dynamics 365 Business Central, Dynamics GP and Dynamics NAV.

"This new team will help us keep pace with businesses' needs to move to the security, continuity and convenience of the Cloud," said Enavate CEO Thomas Ajspur in a prepared statement. "In addition to the technical and client-focused expertise delivered by these professionals, this acquisition will help Enavate meet the increasing demand for on time, on budget, client focused ERP implementations."

Enavate provides ERP consultation, implementation and managed services directly to customers, as well as to other partners. In 2020, it was named a Microsoft ISV Development Center, a distinction for partners that "provide strong third-party technical enablement, business process development, and management consulting services" to ISVs, enabling to them to get solutions to market faster, according to Microsoft's description.

Enavate is positioning its acquisition of the Columbus team as a benefit to their mutual SMB customers, as well as a step toward achieving its self-imposed goal of becoming "the worldwide leader in the Microsoft Dynamics SMB space" by 2024, according to Ajspur.
