Microsoft Lets ISVs Embed Its Solutions in Their Apps

Microsoft has unveiled a new program that would let ISVs developing on Azure to bolt other Microsoft solutions onto their applications.
The ISV Cloud Embed program was announced Monday as part of the Microsoft Inspire partner conference, taking place this week in Washington, D.C. The program is designed to help ISVs "modernize their existing business applications, and build new ones," Microsoft said in its announcement.
Under the terms of the program, Microsoft ISVs will be able to embed some of Microsoft's key business productivity solutions -- including Dynamics 365, Microsoft Flow and PowerApps -- into their own applications at a discount of up to 50 percent.
The program, which Microsoft said will take more shape "later this year," is effectively an expansion of an existing offering around Power BI, which Microsoft already allows partners to include in their applications.
Microsoft is promising a variety of benefits for qualifying ISVs, including exposure to more customers via the AppSource directory.
"ISV Cloud Embed -- like all Microsoft partner programs -- delivers increased benefits based on usage and deal transaction volume. Go to market support is provided at all tiers. For partners whose apps drive significant consumption, we offer co-selling support from one of the world's largest enterprise salesforces," Microsoft said.
