Willis To Run Microsoft's U.S. SMS&P Group

David Willis, Microsoft's top U.S. sales executive for Dynamics business applications, will step up to run the entire U.S. Small and Midmarket Solutions & Partners (SMS&P) organization on Sept. 1.

The position will be vacated by Phil Sorgen, who is taking over the Worldwide Partner Group that Jon Roskill ran for the last three years.

Willis' title goes from vice president of U.S. Dynamics to Corporate Vice President of U.S. SMS&P, which is Microsoft's field sales operation for all Microsoft products and cloud services across the United States and includes the U.S. Partner Group.

According to a company bio, Willis joined Microsoft in 1992, and his previous leadership positions included vice president of the U.S. East Region for SMS&P, vice president of SMS&P for Microsoft Canada and director of the Canadian Partner Group.
