Gilroy was here...but not anymore
That's the message from Arrow Electronics, which announced in a press
release today that Kevin Gilroy, co-president of the Melville, N.Y.-based
supplier's Enterprise Consulting Solutions business, has left he company to
"pursue other interests."
Andrew S. Bryant, who formerly served as COO of a Phoenix law firm as well
as president of Avnet Inc.'s Avnet Logistics operation, will take over as Arrow
ECS president on April 21, the press release said.
M. Catherine Morris, who had been, along with Gilroy, co-president of ECS,
will take over as Arrow's chief strategy officer, reporting to Arrow President
and COO Michael J. Long. Bryant will also report to Long.
Gilroy was a short-timer at Arrow, having just been appointed to the ECS co-president
post in January
2007. Arrow didn't specify a reason for his departure beyond the pursuit
of "other interests." A quote attributed to Long in the press release said,
"We thank Kevin for his contributions to the success and growth of ECS, and
wish him well in his new endeavors."
