Exchange Exams Get Their Turn in Beta Spotlight

Exams for candidates who want to highlight their skills with Microsoft's messaging platform head onto the beta test onramp.

Microsoft Learning Solutions goes into overdrive this month. Even as it redevelops the exams for Vista, it still plans to launch beta exams for Exchange 2007.

Exam 70-237 Pro: Designing Messaging Solutions with Exchange Server 2007, in fact, has been in beta testing since March 13, with the beta period closing on March 27. In beta next month, from April 6-20, is 70-238 Pro: Deploying Messaging Solutions with Exchange Server 2007. Both exams are being delivered through Pearson Vue and Prometric testing centers worldwide.

Both exams are required for a new track, Microsoft Certified IT Professional: Enterprise Messaging Administrator. According to the exam objective guides, recommends that candidates for both should have some considerable experience in troubleshooting and managing Exchange, as well as architecting a messaging solution and defining security and policies. As well, they should have some experience working in other messaging platforms, particularly in IBM's Lotus Notes.

As is the case with all betas, Microsoft is offering the Exchange beta exams by invitation. To find out more, click here.
