Adobe Signs Dist. Deal with Google

Publishing software maker Adobe Systems Inc. said Wednesday it signed a multiyear distribution agreement with Web search engine Google Inc.

Under the agreement, Adobe will distribute Google Toolbar with various Adobe products for the life of the agreement.

Adobe said the Google Toolbar will be available immediately with free downloads of Adobe's digital media player, Macromedia Shockwave Player.

Terms were not disclosed. Adobe said revenue from the deal was factored into the full-year financial forecasts on June 15.

Adobe shares rose 82 cents to $30.70 in after-hours trading. Google shares gained 46 cents at $402.59 in the extended session.
