BizTalk 2006 Exam Goes Thru Beta Cycle
Microsoft finally gives BizTalk Server exam a workout in front of beta exam candidates this week.

Long overdue, Microsoft finally released the beta version of its next-generation BizTalk Server 2006 exam last week, May 24. Registration for the exam opened up at select Pearson Vue and Thomson Prometric centers globally on May 23. Beta testing is expected to last until June 7.
Exam 70-235 TS: Developing Business Process and Integration Solutions Using Microsoft BizTalk Server, is aimed at candidates who are tasked with designing and developing distributed applications using BizTalk Server 2006. Those who pass the exam will earn the Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist on BizTalk Server 2006 title.
Microsoft expects that candidates who plan on taking Exam 70-235 to have at least a year experience in creating business process and application integration using BizTalk Server 2004 or 2006, according to the exam guide. The guide also points to several self-paced learning resources for the exam, including an E-Learning clinic, First Look: Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006 for Developers, which is available for free for a limited time. The exam itself, while in beta, is free to those who are invited to take it and have a beta code at the time of exam registration.
BizTalk Server 2006 itself made its official debut last November, being piggybacked on the debuts of SQL Server 2005 and Visual Studio 2005 during a launch event, although BizTalk was still in beta 2 release at the time. BizTalk gold code was only recently made available at the end of March this year (see official announcement here).
