NetLib releases data encryption software for SQL Server backup tapes.

NetLib, a provider of data encryption security software for enterprises and developers, announced today the release of its data encryption solution for backup tapes, Encryptionizer for SQL Server.

Encryptionizer for SQL Server features automatic encryption of SQL databases directly to tapes and can work with other backup tools to offer an additional layer of security, according to the Stamford, Conn.-based company in a statement. The scalable solution is designed for multi-processor servers and is completely transparent to existing applications.

NetLib has been a Microsoft Certified Partner since July 2005.
