Microsoft has released two more exams in the last few weeks, one that can benefit those already at work on their MCDBA credential.
Exam 70-447, UPGRADE: MCDBA Skills to MCITP Database Administrator by Using SQL Server 2005, is aimed at MCDBAs who want to take the short path to achieving MCITP: Databased Administrator status. Candidates who have the MCDBA and pass it still need to get through Exam 70–431, TS: Microsoft SQL Server 2005 - Implementation and Maintenance, to obtain full MCITP: Database Administrator status. Exam 70-447 has been available since the first week of March.
Microsoft offers several SQL Server 2005 e-learning courses for this and several of the MCTS exams, which are free until November 1, 2006. To find out more, go to https://www.microsoftelearning.com/sqlserver2005/.
Exam 70-536, TS: .NET Framework 2.0 - Application Development Foundation, is aimed at programmers and developers. It's one of two exams that are required for the three MCTS: .NET Framework titles. The exam can also be used to satisfy all the second-tier Microsoft Certified Professional Developer titles. That exam went live last week.
