Fortify Software Inc. released Source Code Analysis 3.5, a suite of tools for identifying and resolving software security risks before they are shipped or deployed. The new Structural Analyzer can detect 115 vulnerability categories across various programming languages, which now include .NET 2.0 support for C# 2.0, VB .NET 2.0, ASP .NET 2.0, Microsoft T-SQL and expanded JSP support for BEA Weblogics and IBM Websphere. http://www.fortifysoftware.com

Fidelis Security Systems announced the general availability of DataSafe Version 3.8, a network security system that prevents unauthorized network transfer of critical or sensitive information. DataSafe -- which the company said is the first extrusion prevention system -- protects digital assets across all network channels including e-mail, http, FTP, instant messaging and P2P apps.
