Winternals
Software announced Thursday that it will be presenting "Understanding
and Fighting Malware: Viruses, Spyware, and Rootkits" at
InnoTech
in Austin, Texas, on Nov. 16. The presentation will be conducted
by Greg Valentine, manager of technical sales at Winternals.
The presentation was developed by Mark Russinovich, chief software
architect and co-founder of Winternals Software. Russinovich is
a Windows operating system expert who recently discovered
DRM rootkit software on an audio CD from Sony.
"It's difficult for corporate IT professionals to remain current
on the malicious software attacks that are constantly evolving and
threatening the security of their networks," Valentine said.
"Windows administrators need solutions for preventing malware
attacks, but also need the skills and tools for reactively removing
malware that does manage to infiltrate their systems."
InnoTech is a one-day business and technology conference and exhibition
that highlights technology development opportunities and showcases
products and services currently used in business.
Winternals Software is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner based
