Microsoft's will ship the first version of its server-based business scorecarding application on Nov. 1.
Formally called Microsoft Office Business Scorecard Manager 2005, the application is for deploying personalized scorecards to employees so they can track key performance indicators (KPIs) against goals.
Business Scorecard Manager extends SQL Server and leverages the Office System. The estimated retail price is $5,000 for the server. A client access license is $175 per seat.
The server builds on the Microsoft Office Business Scorecards Accelerator launched last summer.
