As an enterprise IT pro, you may think Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003 is beneath you. For most of the needs of your enterprise organization, that's true.
But in cases where you might want to install SBS, say for a home business on the side, your enterprise experience with Microsoft products might blind you to useful features and expose you to common gotchas in this unique server.
Microsoft is trying to bridge that gap in understanding with a new 30-page whitepaper called "Introduction to Windows Small Business Server 2003 for Enterprise IT Pros."
Posted Tuesday on the Microsoft Download Center, the whitepaper surveys the Windows SBS design philosophy, lists the top 10 things IT pros often miss about SBS, lists the most useful features and runs through some standard scenarios.
The whitepaper is available for download as a 440 KB Word document here.
