Computer Associates (CA) announced the release of its protection suite
Microsoft’s Windows Server System for Midsize Businesses. Offered in 10
languages, the
CA Business Protection Suite for Midsize Business for Windows
includes antivirus, anti-spyware, data backup and restore, and desktop migration
technologies. CA will offer the CA Business Protection Suite for Midsize Business
for Windows supporting 50 users for $6,995.

Intensity Software announced the availability of SQL for VSAM,
a utility that converts mainframe VSAM databases to Microsoft SQL Server. Based
on Microsoft ADO.NET, the conversion tool automatically generates a SQL Server
database including the necessary tables, views, stored procedures, user-defined
functions and triggers. A SQL for VSAM Developer Edition will be included in

small businesses and workgroups, featuring two-fan BTX design and support for

operating systems. The server also comes bundled with the Gateway System Manager
