Microsoft Unveils Axapta for Life Sciences

A version of the Microsoft Business Solutions Axapta application specifically developed for the life sciences industry is scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2005.

Microsoft unveiled the vertical application this week. The preconfigured solution is supposed to address issues specific to the life sciences industry, such as control capabilities and validation documentation designed to help businesses adhere to regulatory requirements.

The Life Sciences version builds on the 3.0 version of the underlying Axapta platform.

Axapta for Life Sciences will be sold in the United States, the European Union, Canada and Switzerland.
