Quest Updates Exchange Reporting Tool

Quest Software this week released a new version of its usage reporting and analysis tool for Microsoft Exchange.

Quest MessageStats 5.0 is designed to give senior management a way to measure how an organization's Exchange infrastructure is affecting corporate objectives. The company positions the product as a key tool for e-mail chargeback.

Examples of some new reports in version 5.0 show the distribution across business units of e-mail traffic, storage and costs.

Other metrics gathered by the tool assist with capacity management, operational tuning, understanding usage and confirming effective service delivery.

Quest's pricing for MessageStats starts at $7.50 per mailbox.
