If you're an Exchange Administrator, instructor,
consultant, or wanna-be guru and don't already
have this book—what are you waiting for?
This one won't quite fit in my pockets, but its
small footprint (6.5x8.5 inches, 377 pp.) will
fit easily in my backpack along with my gear.
Inside it takes the no-nonsense pick-a-task approach.
Nicely organized, its 15 chapters in four sections
covers administration fundamentals, integration
with Active Directory, data store administration,
and Server and Group administration. Each chapter
includes step-by-step instructions and brief explanations
on things like 'Mounting and Unmounting Data Stores
(along with an explanation of some common error
messages), 'Changing Transaction Log Location
and System Path' , 'Recovering Exchange Server',
'Configuring Outbound Security' , 'Understanding
Queue Summaries and Queue States' and hundreds
more. If Clippy had been this helpful he'd still
have a job.
