Vizact 2000 Available

Microsoft today announced the availability of Microsoft Vizact 2000, a new addition to the Microsoft Office suite. Vizact 2000 allows users to add dynamic multimedia functionality, such as timing, animation and interactivity to Web documents while using the familiar Office interface.

With Vizact 2000, document authors can control multimedia functionality -- such as text, images and sound -- in their documents to increase attention of key messages and enhance a reader's understanding and retention of ideas.

Using the Vizact timeline, users can control when elements appear and disappear, the movement of elements, and the reaction of the elements to a user's mouse. The software includes wizards and templates to get users up and running.

Microsoft positions the product as part of its overall knowledge management strategy, providing knowledge workers with the information they need, when they need it.

Vizact 2000 is available now. More information is available on Microsoft's www.microsoft.com/vizactWeb site. -- Brian Ploskina
