LAS VEGAS - Building on technology and marketing agreements made last year with IBM and Intel, Symantec Corp. released the Digital Immune System strategy for providing corporate customers intelligent tools that can be used to keep systems running at peak performance. The announcement was made at the Networld + Interop trade show
The Digital Immune System, which features a combination of Symantec's applications, is designed to capitalize on Symantec's anti-virus technology, IBM's automated virus analysis, and Intel’s management technology.
The Digital Immune System will work independently or integrate with commonly used enterprise management frameworks to give IT manager's control of Symantec products in their enterprise from one console. The Digital Immune System is intended to provide these professionals with a set of tools to identify potential desktop and server systems problems and take steps to solve these problems quickly and effectively. - Thomas Sullivan
