Tibco Software has issued a new release of its business process management (BPM) solution, called iProcess Suite 10.6.
The solution provides a view of a company's business processes via a service-oriented architecture (SOA). It works across departments, systems and locations.
With the new release, Tibco is promising "even tighter integration between business process management, process modeling and SOA" solutions, according to Jeff Kristick, Tibco's vice president of product marketing.
The iProcess Suite works with Tibco's SOA solution. It lets users "graft subprocedures and steps through the services (SOA) layer to a BPM process," according to an announcement issued by the company.
Tibco improved the product's functionality for process designers in latest version. Other enhancements to the product include "role-based usability," the ability to better monitor subprocesses and improved scalability, according to the announcement.
The new release also simplifies the modeling process by letting users deploy and execute business processes in Tibco Business Studio, a free development environment.
The BPM solution supports DB2 9.1, Red Hat Linux 4.0 and Microsoft Windows Server 2003.
