Wyse Develops Personal Thin Client Devices

Wyse Technology Inc. introduced the Winterm 8360SC WinCAT, a thin client that enables enterprises to embed 32-bit Windows applications directly into the terminal, providing high levels of customization for mainstream use.

Winterm 8630SE WinCAT is based on Microsoft's Windows NT 4.0 Embedded operating system and Wyse's solid-state hardware. Windows NT 4.0 Embedded provdies a wide array of driver and peripheral support. Additionally, the Winterm 8360SE WinCAT features a local Internet Explorer 5.0 browser to meet the demand for direct thin-client access to Web-based applications and corporate intranets.

Winterm 8630SE support Microsoft Remote Desktop Protocol, Citrix Systems' ICA, and 15 other terminal emulations. It features 64 MB of Flash RAM, 64 MB of RAM, 10/100baseT fast Ethernet, two serial ports, one parallel port, one USB port, and 1280x1024 monitor support.
