Lightspeed Systems Offers Flexible Traffic Management Tools

Formerly caged within the confines of its ISP, Lightspeed Systems Inc. has unleashed its IP Magic traffic management suite upon the world.
Consisting of a framework for gateway, server, and desktop machines, users can remotely configure IP Magic via an intuitive drag and drop interface. Modules for load balancing, traffic prioritizing, and statistical reports are handled by object oriented functions represented through graphic icons. Drawing lines between machines creates relationships between them and traffic management utilities.
IP Magic’s features, which include firewalls, QoS utilities, and load balancing, often address emergent issues in network management. Their prioritizing software is designed for IP telephony that depends on a stead flow of packets. Similarly, its personal firewall feature was designed for users of DSL and cable modems whose computers often sit unsecured on the Internet.
Originally developed for its ISP, Lightspeed Systems now focuses on bringing IP Magic to a broader market. A demo is available for download at the Lightspeed Systems Web site.
