Trilogy Releases Network Security Solution

Trilogy Inc., a provider of virtual private network (VPN) solutions, released AdmitOne IPSec Client for Windows 2000. IPSec is an emerging network security standard that works at the network packet layer. AdmitOne IPSec Client allows a secure IPSec tunnel to be established between a remote client and a corporate network over the Internet.

AdmitOne IPSec technology consists of a packet interceptor and an IPSec engine. AdmintOne's modular components, such as the security policy database and encryption libraries, have their own APIs and interfaces that can be independently customized and tested. Key features of AdmitOne IPSec include a virtual adapter, which allows dynamic assignment of additional IP addresses without network address translation; IP Route table interface; a security policy database mechanism which allows user-definable policies for tunnel/transport mode; modular design; support for standard encryption and authentication including 56-bit DES and 3DES, MD5, and SHA-1; and support for IP compression standard (IPCOMP). AdmitOne IPSec Clients for Windows 2000 are currently available.
