Name: Jeff Lowe
Title: Vice President, Global Marketing at SMART Technologies
RCP: What's the elevator pitch for your company to a Microsoft partner?
Lowe: SMART is changing the way the world works and learns. We create products that improve learning and collaboration. Our products are sold through a channel network that spans over 175 countries and reaches millions of customers. We provide educators the tools that facilitate improved learning outcomes, and we provide businesses with solutions that allow for better information sharing, collaboration, cost savings and tangible outcomes.
For partners who may not have thought about your company since the last WPC, what would they need to know about what you've been up to for the past 12 months?
This is SMART's first time at WPC. In addition to being a Silver Competency Managed Partner with Microsoft, SMART is one of the 11 Global Technology Partners within the Microsoft Technology Centers (MTC) Alliance Program.
Out of your entire product portfolio, what's the product or service that Microsoft partners should be aware of right now?
SMART Freestorm visual collaboration solutions are a set of comprehensive business products that combine industry-leading interactive displays, intuitive collaboration software and remote collaboration tools. Freestorm solutions transform how people work together -- helping them improve productivity and reduce costs. Freestorm solutions enable interaction with virtually any digital material, and remote users can fully participate in collaboration sessions, increasing engagement and fostering teamwork. On July 9, we will announce a new product that will bring Freestorm visual collaboration solutions into a greater number of Microsoft environments...stay tuned!
Are you announcing anything at WPC?
Yes, we have two exciting announcements at the WPC.
- A new product for SMART and Microsoft...stay tuned!
- New global collaboration research results with many interesting facts that will surprise businesses users...stay tuned for that as well!
What should Microsoft partners keep an eye out for from your company over the next year?
SMART will continue to emphasize leadership and innovation with several new products including hardware and software offerings. As an innovative company, SMART continuously looks at different ways to develop our business and meet the needs of our customers. SMART serves a wide range of sectors including Education, Corporate and Consumer and continuing to diversify our revenue base from the segments that we already serve (as well as looking at new ones) will ensure that SMART's overall business remains robust.
Why should someone visit your booth this year (free stuff, amazing demo, contest, promotion, etc.)?
- To learn how to collaborate more effectively with SMART Freestorm visual collaboration solutions.
- To witness the unveiling of a new product that SMART and Microsoft have worked together on.
- To learn more about global research that demonstrates a correlation between optimized use of collaboration technologies and better business outcomes and find out where their businesses fall on the spectrum.
