Jet Blue Picks SOA for New Architecture

Earlier this week Santa Monica, Calif.-based SOA Software, provider of Web services management tools and a Microsoft Certified Gold ISV partner, announced that Jet Blue Airways has incorporated its Service Manager product into the company's Web services architecture.

Service Manager will be used to create, secure and monitor the architecture, which is built on .NET, BizTalk Server and SQL Server, as well as allow Jet Blue to have an infrastructure that can support its partners, the companies said.

"We placed a lot of emphasis on security, service level agreements and governance," commented Tyrone Paige, senior software architect at Jet Blue, in a released statement."“After reviewing all the key players in the Web services management, security and registry market, we found that SOA Software’s Service Manager was the best solution on the market to address our requirements.”

“As companies like Jet Blue begin to rely on Web services, they face the challenge of building scaleable and reusable networks. Service Manager is designed to secure and manage enterprise-class SOA implementations today, while being flexible enough to meet the IT environment of tomorrow,” Eric Pulier, founder and executive chairman of SOA Software, said in the same statement.

Formerly known as Digital Evolution, SOA Software changed its name earlier this year to "better reflect" its mission to provide comprehensive products and services for Service-Oriented Architectures (SOAs).
