ActiveBatch 5 Helps with Real-time Batch Processing

Advanced Systems Concepts is shipping ActiveBatch version 5, an upgrade to its enterprise job scheduling and management product that the company says aims to address customers’ emerging need for near real-time batch processing.

Among the updates, version 5 adds a new job plan feature designed to reduce operator and user interactions. Additionally, version 5 features the ability of the job scheduler to process multiple types of jobs -- process, e-mail, FTP, and others.

Other enhancements include new job and file constraints, and new job triggers, according to the Parsippany, NJ company. Version 5 also enhances customizable alerts, job operations and smart updates.

ActiveBatch version 5 is available at no additional charge to customers who participate in the ASCI’s ActiveBatch Annual Version Upgrade program.
