Microsoft on Wednesday made available a hotfix for a problem on Windows XP Service Pack 2 systems where Internet Explorer 6.0 crashes on certain types of Web pages.
The hotfix is only available through Microsoft Support Services. Microsoft only recommends the hotfix for systems that have experienced the problem.
According to Microsoft, certain Web pages that render vector graphics on the screen cause IE 6.0 to stop responding or crash and receive an access violation in Vgx.dll.
