Tivoli Rolls Out SAN Solution

Tivoli Systems Inc. released its Storage Manager 4.1, a storage management solution that protects and manages a broad range of data from the laptop to the corporate server environment.
Storage Manager features automated network backup, tape resource sharing, network-free rapid data recovery, LAN-free and multi-threaded data transfer, and adaptive differencing technology.
Storage Manager 4.1 also integrates with EMC TimeFinder, a software product for mainframe, open systems, Windows NT, and AS/400 platforms. EMC TimeFinder integrates with Storage Manager to provide users with automated online information backup, restore, and management capabilities for their enterprise information. Storage Manager will also integrate with the IBM Enterprise Storage Server to utilize FlashCopy functionality.
