Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference 2008 Set for Houston

Microsoft will hold the 2008 Worldwide Partner Conference in Houston from Monday, July 7 through Thursday, July 10.

The WPC brings together about 10,000 partners, vendors and Microsoft employees from around the world for a half-week of networking and parties; conference sessions about products, marketing and sales; and speeches about industry directions and product roadmaps.

The Houston location marks the return of the conference to the South after four straight years in cooler climates. The last four WPCs took place in Denver, Boston, Minneapolis and Toronto. The first WPC, which combined Microsoft and Great Plains partner events, was held in New Orleans in October 2003. All subsequent WPCs were held in July.

Meanwhile, Microsoft is making progress in making the 2007 WPC from Denver available online for partners who missed the event. The company is releasing 40 sessions within the next few days on the Microsoft Partner Program Portal.
